We made a trip to SPD so we could unveil to the world Daijiro Yoshihara’s new Lexus IS350. With a sponsorship partnership between Discount Tire and Falken Tires they were able to bring on Daijiro Yoshihara from his Pontiac GTO to take on this Lexus. The car was getting it’s finishing touches done at SPD before pre season testing when we came to visit.
Jonathon Bradford from Falken was super accomedating and Daijiro was quite some fun on the microphone with us. These two photos are of this gorgeous Lexus V8 motor that I couldn’t get enough of.
My favorite part about Daijiro Yoshihara’s Discount Tires x Falken Tires Lexus IS350 is the new rear radiator setup. A gorgeous mount job which will prevent putting this car out of comission on a front end collision. If this works out I wonder if the whole Falken team will convert to a rear mount setup.
On Daijiro Yoshihara’s GT Channel blog he posted a photograph of the Wrecked Magazine crew after we shot the interview. Check it out!
I know I recently posted the teaser to this video but we just got the full render up on Youtube and their other social media websites as well. I love some of the footage we captured at the drifting demo’s with our Sony EX-1. Enjoy a quick flash into the 2009 Hot Import Nights season. Enjoy this piece thanks to NOS Energy Drink’s great viral program NOS TV.
MATS stands for the Mid America Truck Show which is essentially the SEMA for truckers. We flew into Louisville, Kentucky for a four day shoot at the conference with Mobil 1 Delvac. Mobil 1 had one of the best looking and busiest booths at the whole show. They had Sam Hornish Jr’s #77 Penske/Mobil 1 Dodge inside the booth with a NASCAR simulator as well.
I met a trucker with over 4,000,000 miles on his rig who was an owner/operator. He has a business card that says “Professional Clown” and he was making little balloons for people. We put in a request for a more adult focused project and we got this! Some amazing skill in this design right here. I watched him do it and have no idea what he did to have these come together.
To close out the festivites Mobil Delvac threw a huge concert and invited thousands of people to come and enjoy the show. Krista Marie opened the show and then Halfway to Hazard kept the energy going inside the stadium. After a quick intermissions Aaron Tippin came out and headlined the show playing some of his most well known hits.
Here is a photograph of Aaron Tippin and myself before the concert backstage. I wish I took more pictures in Kentucky but I really dropped the ball while out of town. I did do a couple Yelp reviews you can check out:
We headed down to Hot Import Nights for NOS TV. This is a preview video we released right after the show to get people for the full length one. Some nice slow motion drifting shots from local Pro Am guys and a few clips of Chris Forsberg ripping it up as well. If you visit the website you can watch the video in High Def.
We arrived at Dumont Dunes mid last week to shoot some behind the scenes footage for NOS TV with Kyle Busch and his sand rail. This was the base camp that was setup by Kyle and some other drivers that were out having fun in the mid week.
We quickly hopped in some rails and rode out to a jump site where the guys had tons of fun for the afternoon. This is Kyle’s rail in the photograph above which is powered by a twin turbo LS1 engine and weighs around 2,700lbs. This was my first time riding in a sand rail and it was amazing!
Jason actually snapped this photo while I was filming Kyle taking these jumps. Below is the teaser video and first installment from our day out at Dumont Dunes with Kyle for NOS TV.
I got sent this image recently from a buddy who was over in Kyoto, Japan. He walked into a Super Autobacs and while browsing the movie section he found a copy of Slide America. Very exciting stuff that he found our movie inside an Autobacs. I owe a thanks to Thuy at Livesocket who got us at Autobacs in the first place and Autobacs has become one of our largest sellers of Slide America overall so they are owed a big thanks as well. If you have been living under a rock and still don’t have a copy of the movie you can score one for $9.99 on the website.
On Saturday I paid a visit with some great friends and attented an awesome open house at GMG Racing. The event was quite fun and we saw some amazing exotic cars on hand including a Porsche Carrera GT, Ferrari F-40, and several Porsche GT3 RS’s. GMG Racing is one of the most well known shops in Southern California for high end performance and I cannot wait to pay them a visit again for our new web project, Luxury Vice!
As you all know if your a frequent blog follower that we produce NOS Energy Drink’s NOS TV series. To close out the 2007 season we headed to Miami, Florida for Hot Import Nights. This is our quick trailer from the show and we have a full version from the event coming out soon. The black Bentley in our video looked amazing. We had a blast in Miami Beach and enjoyed some amazing weather and food for December. Love to hear some feedback from everyone.
The third of my more four installments is up over at UrbanRacer. We hit the Cadillac ranch in Texas, an abandoned hotel in New Mexico, and the open road. Don’t miss some great photos and memories I typed up in this article.
The latest PM Lifestyle project is called Luxury Vice where we feature and talk about cars over the $60,000 MSPR threshold. I am giving my personal blog readers an exclusive peak into the website.
