If your a diehard car junkie then I don’t have to tell you about the Woodward Cruise or explain to you that it is going on. This festival takes over a whole city in California while it’s going on and after combing through mnay pictures I think I found my favorite car of the whole cruise. It’s probably not what your expecting but I have been really falling in love with cars from this era.

The guys over at Speedhunters.com were in Japan during the Formula D Seattle event so Wrecked Magazine pitched him and helped them get some coverage. I provided photos for their event recap and Mike Garrett did an awesome job at throwing some text together even though he was 10,000 miles away in Japan probably wishing he was playing Battle Gear 4 instead of working on the site, haha.
Check it out: Speedhunters.com

I first got started with Yelp by downloading the facebook application. My friend Antonio had told me about Yelp before but now I am finally addicted. If you live in a major city or are visiting somewhere use Yelp to find out about places to grab a bite to eat.
The facebook application allows you to coordinate with your google maps location and inform you of places that are within walking distance. While in the Yelp map you are also able to quickly reference the price and times of the resteraunts you are considering at dining at. This is a must for your iPhone and your decision making for dining thoughts.
Add me as a friend if you wind up with an account or have one.

Autoblog just rolled out the G37 convertible. As a proud owner of a G37 coupe I have to admit this is a good looking prize. Note to the Lexus SC430: it is now beyond over for you. Infiniti, Nissan’s BMW-hunting luxury brand, has unveiled the 2009 Infiniti G37 Convertible, a retractable hardtop 4-seater that preserves the Coupe’s good looks even with its 3-piece folding roof neatly tucked out of sight, as you can see here. Power from the 3.7L V6 will be in excess of 320 horses, and numerous comparos against the BMW 335i convertible are inevitable. You can practically hear the buff mags reserving track time as we speak. Sunny Los Angeles will be the venue for the car’s formal unveiling in November, and likely a fertile ground for sales when the time comes.

I know that I briefly mentioned in my X-Games post that I got to take a whirl out in a BMW M6 coupe while in Los Angeles but I figured I would offer a first drive/first opinion review. The M6 I got to take the wheel of was not a convertible but it was a sapphire black coupe. The first thing you MUST do when you hop in the carĀ press the power button down by the transmission shifter.
The naturally aspirated V-10 engine rips to 8,250rpm’s as the chassis is quick to start as you can tell the motor is unleashing it’s 500+ horsepower. After a two hour drive around Los Angeles I was extremely disappointed to find the gas gauge stopped registering at 6mpg. After doing some quick math we discovered the car scored us around 4.2mpg. Very disappointing that BMW wants to hide your true gas mileage from you if your not smart enough to not trust your little on board computer. With a $100,00+ MSRP I think BMW can afford to break the harsh reality of the hole being burned in your wallet at the pump
The most amazing part of the car has to be the SMG 7 speed Formula 1 inspired transmission they mated to the 500+ horsepower engine. The car is said to run a 0 to 60 run in under five seconds. The launch control on the transmission allows for ideal off the line excitement. The transmission has this amazing way of making you feel like your behind the wheel of the 6 speed manual transmission without a clutch. Weather you need a hard park item for Rodeo Drive or a weekend warrior this car is highly recommended in the $100,00 price range. How do you go wrong with a car that has a carbon fiber roof? Pick one up and test it for yourself. Just call your local BMW dealership and somehow sucker them into letting you step behind the driver’s seat.

I got a new place right after Formula D Las Vegas and finally am starting to get settled in to the new place. It’s right off West Peachtree in downtown Atlanta. The PM Lifestyle Office that houses Wrecked Magazine hasn’t moved and is still sitting in it’s lovely home up just north of Atlanta.
I turned the main hallway into a mini art gallery featuring some photos I have taken over the years. I plan on rotating these a few times a year to keep a new look for the gallery. I should be expanding the gallery into the side hallway as well very soon.

The living room setup. Please note the Watermelon Red Funtastic Edition N64!

The living room has floor to ceiling windows with an awesome view of downtown Atlanta.

A collection of terabyte drives hidden out in the living room.

The view of the pool looking down from my balcony.

I will have more photos later on once I finished up getting moved in!

I haven’t seen one of these in person yet and I was walking down West Peachtree at 17th street and found this car rolled up in a local drive. The car looked gorgeous and I had to whip out my phone and snap a quick picture of it for you guys. I cannot wait for Nuformz/MOPAR to put together Sam Hubinette’s Challenger and see him out Drifting this thing in competition. The car is gorgeous….glad to see Dodge finally woke up out in Detroit.

All I have to say is I wouldn’t buy/drive a Dodge until this!

Well I took this in my room which just shows why I shoot automotive photography and not building photography. I have been working on this skill but I am not quite to a quality performance level. I am never home at sunset it seems and I have had this killer shot in mind but it is likely to never happen at this rate. It was rainy/cloudly all night but around 9:00pm tonight I decided to snap this. This is a view from my bedroom porch across I-75/85 to Atlantic Station.

Click the image to see a full resolution version of Atlantic Station in Atlanta. The main thing I don’t like about the image is that it failed to capture the bustling highway and the camera gave me just some weak “light streams” from the interstate that give it a very different feel. Other than that I am going to keep working on this, so stay tuned for my photos from my porch in the near future.

Sleepless in Seattle was definitly now the team’s case over this past weekend. All it did was RAIN RAIN RAIN but don’t worry, our waitress assured us that the local Seattle area gets about 60 days of sunshine a year. Not only did it rain virtually all night it rained during the Formula D main event as well.

It was however a busy weekend at the track for PM Lifestyle. We produced an internal video for Mobil 1 that talked to the teams that trust Mobil 1 with their motors ever week. We shot the new cover for Issue 6 at the event on Saturday morning and also took the photography to produce a new advertisement for Disc Brakes Australia.
To make Seattle more exciting the 405 was closed over the weekend! For you local northwesterns you know that is a recipe for disaster. So other than some late night airport runs and Denny’s we didn’t get ourselves into to much trouble. Just sat back and watched the Olympics at the good ol Hilton in Bellevue. So I deceided to showcase some of my favorite snaps from the Seattle weekend that I took.

Myself and Jayke are gearing up currently for Formula D Mexico which we depart in like 10 days for, so be ready for Mexican Sombrero Hostel Parties!
