New gear..Think Tank Shape Shifter

December 9th, 2010

I got a new camera bag this week, A Think Tank photo Shape Shifter bag. Its a bag that I always wanted but I found it a little too expensive since its a bag I only would be using at DMCC events.. Lucky me I ended up finding one used online for a crazy cheap price..the best part is that it was still brand new..the owner already had a Shapeshifter and won an other one in a contest so was just getting rid of it.. I wanted a bag that I could use at the same time as my modular belt system to keep some of the bigger glass and also to have a place to put my cameras if it ever started to rain while on track, which has happened more then a few times. Im amazed with how much gear I can put in the bag..I can actually stuff my entire “drift” kit in the bag even tho I will still be using my Think Tank AirPort Take off bag as my main hauler bag. Ill be writing a better review of the bag when I actually have a chance to use it..for now check out a few pics of the bag with my set up in it..

DMCC rd3

July 29th, 2010

Well Im a little late for this post.. Pat and and Dave already got their blogs up so I guess its my turn…

Rd3 was held at Icar..a new track for DMCC.. So going into I really did not know where to shoot from and where the good spots would be through out the day.

It was a pretty fun track to shoot at especially since the first corner was very high speed and if any drivers got it wrong well they would get some air time off the pretty big rumble strip

Besides the crazy rain we got on the Sat the weekend was great with a lot of good action even tho from a photog stand point I would of liked the tandem to be closer lol

Check out the pics!

Big shout out to Dave Briggs for showing a lot of people what a little practice can do..he finished in the 4th spot but coulda easily taken a podium.. DMCC post wrap

June 3rd, 2010

What a crazy weekend..Besides being one of the official photogs for DMCC this year Im also the Media Director..Basiclly all media request get sent to me so I get to decide who gets a media pass ( muahaha ) I also have to figure out where the media zones will be and make the rules for the track..So for rd one it was interesting getting used to all the new things I had to do plus still get all the shots we need..I am lucky this year I have 2 other good photos on the team so I was able to focus some of my energy on other things and did not have to worry about getting ALLL the shots.. So all in all the first event was great..Drivers were doing really good and was a lot of fun to watch..It was a little colder then I would of liked on the Sunday and I think that cause some of the fans to not come out to the show. even tho Id rather be a bit colder then dying in too much heat.. For my pics you can go check out the complete gallerys on the new site I work for Burn-out.ca..the site is in french but the photos are bilingual..
