Well after doing some tests with the camera I found a slight problem. The smallest aperture is only f8 which causes a problem when trying to do panning shots during the middle of the day.. My solution was to simply ( so I thought) add a ND or a polarizing filter to the front of the lens to cut down the light entering the camera which would let me shoot slower with out blowing out the exposure. There was only one slight issue…my nice little Canon point and shoot does not have any filter threads on the lens and Canon does not make any adapters either..I found one online but it really did not look all that great anyway..soo I decided to make my own.. With some scrap pieces of plastic, some ND paper for hot lights and some crazy glue I made myself a little filter holder.

I does look ghetto but it works great and also allows me to add more ND filters if I want to really cut light out..for let say a point and shoot rig shot

interesting concept! have you tried it out yet to see if that helped you out? And do those tabs in the front show up in the image at all?
Yep I have tried it and it works well..takes 2 stops out and the little taps dont show in the frame even at the wide end.
