Dyno shootouts are starting to get real big out here. I am thinking about getting involved with my good friends from Nyce1s.com and possibly put a car together for this. Check out the video below. Every dyno event they have been holding is jammed packed. Is that what they consider grass roots?
This may be a name few people in the drift industry have ever heard of, he is the man around here. Eddie has been running the street scene since I was riding my big wheels. Check out the video of his Street Porsche below! The car makes over 1,200hp and I have actually seen him drive it to the track. Show this man some respect!
After 56 years in business, Crane Cams has closed up shop. GR was partnered with them in ’04. The crew helped us out a lot with our Honda drag car. They made a sorts of crazy cams for our B18 roller rocker set up and a few custom parts. Well, now it’s down to only a few companies that make cams in the US and we will see who survives this Cam war.
Here are a few things that I pulled off of one of my favorite websites, Autoblog.com. This is a great spot for keeping up-to-date with what is going on with manufacturers.
The car is seriously so close to being done. We are just waiting on a few parts; turbo, manifold (that is back getting powder coated because it failed quality control 3 times), and a few fittings.
Sorry, but this will be the last picture until the Solstice debut.
Over the past few weeks I have been able to pick up a few things that I had my eye on.
GoPro: This camera is what I needed to document all of the crazy shit I do from skating, surfing, snowboarding, karting, BMX, mountainbiking, quading, and more! It mounts onto just about anything with a suction cup, it is durable, and water proof.
Feelt: I picked up this full suspension bike recently because I need to do more than just run. My brother rides a lot so I figured I would start riding with his crew. We have some great spots to ride around here: Clayton pits, Allaire Park, and Stavola.
Casio: I found this thin camera on sale at Walmart. I was looking for a smaller, lighter camera that would fit in my pocket. It has been difficult to figure out all of the settings because I am used to using a Cannon, but so far it is has been just what I wanted.
