So, Im prepping my car for FD now and I found a few things I figured they wouldnt like. One was the battery tie-down. All I have to say about all of this is………….Im putting this in all caps so you will remember. BUILD YOUR CAR ACCORDING TO FD RULES SO YOU DONT HAVE TO DO THINGS TWICE.
Before
After
I understand, I like it better this way.

AMEN! – (But people will still have to learn the hard way)
PS – Your really should upgrade to a sealed AGM battery when you got some extra cash to avoid gas venting issues and get the same power in a smaller package.
Odyssey is the best and made in the USofA

You are right, and at some point I will get a sealed battery, but first things first.
Thanks for the info on Odyssey, they don’t sponsor a drifter as of yet. Do you have any contacts with them?
Thanks for the tip Dennis.
You should think about XS Power, they sponsored the Project 350.
Also, many drifters run Optima’s in the Formula Drift series.

Thanks for the help
NO-WAY!!! hes got a three year free replacement and 72 month prorated Autocraft gold series from advance auto parts!!!
Thanks for reading my blog Damien. It means alot to me.
BTW-That still won’t pass unless you get a cover to seal it all up and run a vent tube that exits outside the cabin.
Yes sir, I have the cover. Its the typical marine-style plastic battery box. I removed the cover to take the picture.
So, in other words, the tie-down passes, yes?
Now I think you could lift the whole car by the battery.
