Dan Jenkins bundled up for the rain in New Jersey and went out to attack the 2012 Clubloose Opening Moves event in full force. Even though rain was pouring down we spotted drivers such as Matt Waldin out attacking the course which resulted in Dan producing almost 400 photos from the event. Drifting at Englishtown now marks 10 years in the making and is the first venue to host a decade of consistent drifting in North America.
The Drift Alliance has pretty much become an east coast operation again these days and new member Nick D’Alessio is from Pennsylvania. Here is some testing of the Elite JDM 240sx which will be campaigned with rookie Nick D’Alessio this season. This quick teaser video shows off the 1JZ powered 240sx which is equipped with a boat load of Tomei products. Check in next week to see how this non V8 powered 240sx will do in Formula Drift.
In case you ever tried to convince someone that drifting wasn’t just full of hooligan kids doing random hood-rat shit in the time between robbing liquor stores and mugging old ladies then please don’t show them this video. All joking aside this Bloodmasters Part 1 video shows off some intense skill and entertainment all focused around Raceway Park in Englishtown, New Jersey. The video features some Formula Drift drivers such as Ryan Tuerck, Chris Forsberg, and Tony Angelo who all seem to be driving “missile” car S13’s as they slam into each other, parts of the track, and about anywhere else you could think of around the race course. My favorite part of the video falls around 3:13 when they have a five car tandem (two cars going one direction on the track and three going the other way) all at the same time. This is shown in screen capture three above. Follow the link after the video to see a full list of credits for the Bloodmasters Bloodbath Part 1 video.
Check out this blog post written by Dave Briggs about his experience down in New Jersey at XDC Round 4. Dave already took home a victory at Round 1 this season in his S14. He ended up in battle with several DMCC drivers throughout the weekend and former DMCC champion Matt Waldin took home the win.
A great piece put together by the guys at JerseyStreets which highlighted the Clubloose event Wrecked Moves at Englishtown Raceway. Brian Casse braved the heat along with many drivers for the weekend. The event was hot, cars broke down, and we finished with a few crashes. Another epic weekend at Englishtown thanks to the guys at Clubloose.
The Pennsylvania event has now been removed from the 2009 D1GP USA schedule and other events have been added. They have added some non points event at Summit Point, added a SEMA event listing, and put up a TBA for some mysterious west coast event. This listing we found is below but currently only the Englishtown event is listed on it’s website.

August 22nd – Englishtown, New Jersey
September 27th – Summit Point, West Virginia (non championship round)

Matt Petty ( a resident blogger here at Wrecked Magazine) sent us a flyer to the East Coast All-Star Bash event that is going down May 30th-31st at Englishtown Raceway in New Jersey. One of the most noted grassroots events to get thrown down yearly we had to put this great flyer up. Matt Petty and the guys mocked this flyer off a 1950’s Trenton International Speedway flyer and we love it.
This event is also a benefit for Camila Bible in memory of her father and Drift Alliance brother Rich Bible who recently past away. So come out, have a blast and support a good cause next weekend in New Jersey, it will help you get fired up for Formula Drift Wall, consider it pre gaming!
