Is the Missile Crisis Now Over?

This has been a dark month for drifting around the United States. The Nissan 240sx is going to soon cost more than a brand new BMW it would seem and missile cars are no longer officially cool judging by Chris Forsberg’s S13 refresh. The missile car movement in America has really been headlined by the Drift Alliance and the Clubloose/New Jersey drift scene. Chris Forsberg has now taken his beaten up missile car and put some styling into it. Some fresh paint, bash bars, a body kit, and Seibon Carbon all came together to give the car a new look. It’s time to paint that 400 colored 240sx one solid color guys, sorry! Who supports the movement to make drift cars look good again?

Chris Forsberg vs. Tony Angelo and a Taser [VIDEO]

Chris Forsberg hopped in his missile car and headed out to Englishtown Raceway to complete the first taser drift challenge. Drift Alliance teammate sat in the passenger seat of his missile car zapping him with a taser in the throttle leg, heart, and shifting arm as he attempts to drift around a course.

2013 East Coast Bash at Englishtown [GALLERY]

The East Coast Bash weekend was as much hype as you can imagine for the Englishtown weekend. Drift Alliance stars came out to tandem with each other all weekend in their missile cars along with tons of other Pro Am and pro drift stars. Sit back and look at all my photography from the weekend.

2013 Fantasy Drift is Now Live and Ready for Signups

Register Here:

The 2013 Fantasy Drift season is ready for signups of private and public leagues for 2013. Thanks to our new sponsorship from Garrett Turbo we are shaking things up for the year. All Garrett Turbo drivers are denoted in the driver profiles and will receive double points for the Long Beach and Irwindale round. This should modify your strategy when making draft picks for 2013. For example a driver such as Chelsea DeNofa will be issued two Top 32’s once he qualifies in Long Beach. Note this only applies to the Long Beach and Irwindale rounds of competition in 2013 and all other rounds and drivers will remain a single point per event action.
In case you forgot how to play once you join a private or public league you will have to draft players and compete for points n ten categories. If you need help with the registration OR draft process we built a step by step video to walk you through the process which can be found HERE on our YouTube account wreckedmagazine. The 10 actions that allow you to score a singke point in Fantasy Drift with a driver are: Qualifying for Top 32, Placing in the Top 16, Placing in the Top 8, Podium Finish, Vehicle Malfunction, Wreck (resulting in a tow off), Wreck (resulting in a drive off), One More Time, Underdog (Your driver wins a tandem battle with someone who qualified higher during a race weekend), Team Tire Podium (any driver on the podium on your drivers matching tire brand except him). If you need more details on how to play the game we built a step by step video to walk you through the process which can be found HERE on our YouTube account wreckedmagazine.

Some videos showing you How to Play:

Vaughn Gittin Jr. – Monster Drift in Las Vegas [VIDEO]

Vaughn Gittin Jr. rolls out his Monster Drift video with a very Las Vegas look and feel as he drove his way to another podium finish this season on what looks to be a road to a potential second championship if all goes well at Irwindale. Follow the three minute reel of his weekend drifting in the dark at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in his 2013 Ford Mustang RTR. Even watch Luke Lonberger in his Corvette C6 tap the wall from a great follow camera that Vaughn has on his roof as he gives chase. The video by NetworkA has a great Vegas theme and music placed behind it that we just love.

Vaughn Gittin Jr. Takes on Southern California with a Mustang and a Skateboard [VIDEO]

A southern California adventure took place as Vaughn Gittin Jr. hit Hollywood Blvd., Venice Beach, and the Santa Monica Pier before finishing up with Formula Drift in Long Beach. The video shows an awesome wall tap and his insane follow run against Odi Bakchis in Top 32 of Formula D. The Monster Energy x Falken machine will be out at Road Atlanta coming up with Vaughn focusing on some better finishing results.

Nick D’Alessio Testing on the East Coast [VIDEO]

The Drift Alliance has pretty much become an east coast operation again these days and new member Nick D’Alessio is from Pennsylvania. Here is some testing of the Elite JDM 240sx which will be campaigned with rookie Nick D’Alessio this season. This quick teaser video shows off the 1JZ powered 240sx which is equipped with a boat load of Tomei products. Check in next week to see how this non V8 powered 240sx will do in Formula Drift.

Vaughn Gittin Jr. Goes Autotune [VIDEO]

This might be one of the funniest videos I have seen in 2012. I present to you Vaughn Gittin Jr. in Autotune as a review of the 2011 season which saw him finish in 9th place after a horrible start in Long Beach. Something tells me the Monster Energy Drink athlete is going to be a little more on his game this season.

Tony Angelo To Drive The Scion Racing tC In Formula Drift 2012!

“TAngelo Racing is happy to announce a return to drifting in 2012 with factory support from Scion Racing. After three years as a Formula Drift judge and technical manager, Tony’s long awaited return to competition is met with personal excitement and lots of hype from his fans.

Tony will be driving the #33 Scion Tc from 2011, with a whole new look and feel. The crew will consist of drifting favorites, “DA Aces” Lindsay Ross as spotter, and Mike “Carluch” Edwards wrenching on the car. While Tony has been keeping active in overseas competition and driving with “Bloodmasters,” a drifting gang producing explosive missile car videos out of Englishtown, NJ, he’s psyched to return to FD competition.

“I couldn’t be more excited to get back into the drivers seat for 2012,” Tony said. “Scion is a brand that is very active in drifting, and is doing really fun things for 2012. I’ve always been impressed by their presence in FD, and I am totally pumped to be part of the Scion Racing Family.”
