The Las Vegas Motor Speedway venue was invaded for late April to kick off the Vegas Drift Pro Am series. Sa Jamil Hogan grabbed a camera and documented the Round 1 event for the website. The top chargers of the Saturday event included the winner Andrew Hateley and local star Joshua Guild. This event just happened north of the XDC Phoenix event that was going on at Firebird Raceway.

Jon Chase at DSTROYR posted the first look of Odi Bakchis and his LS1 powered 240sx. Odi performed amazing in XDC and Vegas Drift over the 2010 season and is now gearing up for a Formula Drift showing in 2011. The Vegas Drift finals took place just before Formula Drift this weekend. Here is a gallery from Justin Kaehler that was shot during the competition. The event had just a few drivers willing to brave the Formula Drift course put on quite a performance for the people who braved the idea of sitting around in the mid day heat.

The guys at Vegas Drift are throwing another Pro Am race just a few weeks before Formula Drift Las Vegas. The event is next Saturday at the Bullring Lot on the Las Vegas Motor Speedway premises. Spectators are $5.00 all night and the event kicks off at 4:00pm.

This weekend is the second round of the Las Vegas Pro Am series being held at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The event is actually taking place at the Bullring Lot where our Round 1 coverage was taken at. The event will host a Top 16 tandem elimination rounds to declare a winner. The judges will be Formula Drift judge Ernie Fixmer, Tommy Suell, and Mike Bolanos. Spectators can come check out the event for $5.00 all day. The event will be from 4:00pm to 12:00am midnight.

Las Vegas Motor Speedway is one of the best motorsports facilities in the United States by a mile. Vegas Drift took over the Bullring Lot for this event. This marked the first Pro Am Round of 2010 held by the guys at Vegas Drift and we loved every minute of the event.
