2012 Formula Drift Round 6 at Las Vegas Thursday Night Practice [GALLERY]

The new track layout is quite a change from years past in Vegas. In fact, the whole place looks different in a great way with movement of the paddock area to the side of the parking lot and moved grandstands. Many top drivers made only a few passes but the track seems to be difficult for almost all. Qualifying should be interesting today.

Chris Forsberg and Tony Angelo donate $3,500 to animal shelter

Chris Forsberg and Tony Angelo are both huge animal lovers, and both have been traveling the FD circuit with their canine companions in tow this season. During the East Coast Bash, Angelo and Forsberg offered ride-alongs in their cars for a charitable donation. Today, they delivered a check for $3,500 to the local New Jersey Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (NJ SPCA) organization on behalf of Club Loose. It’s great to see professional drivers doing good things for their community.

V8 vs Turbo 4 – The debate continues [VIDEO]

It’s hard to deny that the V8 invasion has been steadily happening over the last several years. We even run one in our S13 project car, which Dennis Mertzanis is driving in the FD season. There’s some good interviews in this piece from drivers like Rhys Millen, Pat Mordaunt, and Tony Angelo.  It looks like this is the first in a series of videos exploring the cars of the series, so stay tuned!

Scion Racing takes us behind the scenes at Wall NJ

Scion Racing is on their fourth season as a manufacturer in drifting, and is supporting the largest roster to date. With Tony Angelo in the tC1, Freddy Aasbo in the tC2, and Ken Gushi in the FR-S, there’s a bit of an internal rivalry among all three teams. Angelo was the highest qualified Scion driver in Palm Beach, but is sitting lowest in the points standings right now. Watch the Scion Racing team as they battle through another tough round in New Jersey.

We Might have the Into the Blue – Air Force Challenge Winner Pictured Here [SPOILER ALERT]

Found on Facebook tonight was what looks to be Ryan Tuerck suiting up for his big Air Force flight promised from the Into the Blue mini-series sponsored by the AirForce. The event took four Air Force men into drift cars with Joon Maeng, Tony Angelo, Ryan Tuerck, and Odi Bakchis with the winner being put high into the sky with his pupil. I bet Ryan Tuerck had a hell of a time flying with the Air Force! How do you think the mini series is going so far?

Walker Wilkerson Vs. Tony Angelo – Top 16 Entry Crash at Road Atlanta [VIDEO]

Another top 16 tandem battle we caught with some help from Brian Casse is the entry accident between Walker Wilkerson and Tony Angelo. Tony has managed to make two Top 16′s in his return to Formula Drift as a driver with the Scion Racing tC. He was lined up and following second year driver in his Fatlace / Falken Tire S13.4 for a Top 16 tandem battle. Walker came flying down the hill and Tony Angelo over entered right into him making Walker Wilkerson have a pass into the Top 8.
