Check out the new issue of Wrecked Magazine marking our 15th issue made to date. The cover story brings us Michael Essa and his phenomenal V10 M5 powered BMW 335i and how it all came together. In his second year in Formula Drift he is over the rookie hump and ready to take charge in the series.

We also have part 1 of our Virtual Vs. Reality contest up in the magazine. We start constructing our Virtual Reality Shelby GT500 with a Logitech G25 wheel setup, Need for Speed: SHIFT , and a PlayStation 3. We measured pedal setup and seat position to get a close replica of the Shelby GT500.

Today the Universal Technical Institute hosted an Open House at the Rancho Cucamonga, Californiacampus and we brought out Project 350z! Keep up to date with the project as it progresses into a completed Wrecked Magazine project vehicle.

Today we wrenched on Project 350z again and installed a BRIDE Low Max VIOS III seat. The guys at YoParts.com hooked us up with this seat for the Nissan project. They are an automotive industry wholesaler and are currently giving away a Nissan GT-R to one of its lucky members. We spent the whole day at LS Auto x Chris Forsberg Racing getting the car ready for the 2010 marked completion date.

The XS Power battery was installed last week at LS Auto in place of the stock heavy battery. We ended up mounting the XS Power battery in the same location as the stock one by personal choice alone for our project. You can mount the battery anywhere you would like in the vehicle. Our Project Nissan 350z has been coming together before our very eyes. We installed our Vortech supercharger kit which came with everything from fuel management to a charge cooler. With the help of LS Auto/Chris Forsberg Racing we got the supercharger kit on without any troubles. The audible level of the kit is fantastic under some aggressive driving that you just cannot get enough of. We have an installation write up in our Project 350z blog.

Daijiro Yoshihara had this car out at time attack for Super Lap Battle this past week and his 350z Vert is looking good. The 350z was originally a SEMA build car by GT Channel and they have since allowed Daijiro Yoshihara to take over the car and have some fun in it. Chris Forsberg is gracing the cover on our 2nd anniversary addition. At the office we decided to dub this the “Champions Issue” covering winners of series around North America. Chris Forsberg took home two championships this year with the Triple Crown and the Formula Drift championship. Matt Waldin sat down with us and talked about his quest to win the Drift Mania championship as well. The issue is packed with other content as well so don’t miss this one!
