James Deane has been doing double duty this year while driving a full ProDrift season and a half Formula Drift season during 2010. Well his hard work has paid off and after his win at Round 5 this past weekend in Ireland he was able to secure the championship. If he runs Formula Drift full time in 2011 I will be interested to see if he stays running ProDrift to defend his title?

2010 Prodrift Ireland – Round 4 at Mondello
Check out the guys at ProDrift Ireland tearing it up at Mondello. Eric O’Sullivan ended up taking home a win after James Deane had transmission problems in the finals. Eric is in the black AE86 with Hankook Tire stickers on it. Nice to see him still performing at a top level with a proper car under him. His Formula Drift season this year has been plagued with car troubles. This is a great video from Patrick McCullagh highlighting the weekends events.

Speedhunters announced yesterday morning that another car is being added to the Team NFS which already features Mad Mike Whiddett and Matt Powers. This addition will actually be Darren McNamara for some European Drifting. That means the V8 powered Saturn Sky won’t be retired anytime soon with the Falken colors. The highlights of news is that this car will be receiving a powerful 13B rotary engine. If you want to find out more about this insane project follow the link below.
