The guys in Europe (Ireland) are coming up with a big and fun 2012 series. They have produced several Formula Drift drivers past/present from former champions so keep your eye out at these events for up and coming talent.

The grid at Mondello was full of Formula Drift stars, but it was James Deane that came out on top in his S13, ousting Darren McNamara and the Need for Speed AE86 in the final round at Mondello.

Dai Yoshihara and Dean Kearney also made the trip out. Dai managed to defeat Dean Kearney in top 16, but was knocked out by Darren McNamara in the top 8.

Deane took out Fredric Aasbo in his Supra in the top 8, Phil Morrison in Final 4, and was battling Darren McNamara for the top spot when DMac suffered mechanical issues, giving James Deane the win. James Deane suffered mechanical issues himself losing 2nd and 4th gears, but was able to overcome and take top honors with half a transmission!

Dean Kearney is taking the keys this weekend from Dani Murphy’s S14 and returning to the series he won in the past. He will be coming back with plenty of other stars from Formula Drift so let’s see how he stacks up at home versus the Formula D stars in his hometown.

The Falken Tire x MG Crash Repair Toyota Altezza this weekend at the ProDrift final at Mondello Park. Many Formula D drivers are taking this September off to travel the world and enjoy drifting outside the United States. We announced a while back that Darren McNamara and Fredric Aasbo will be at the event as well representing Team Need for Speed! It looks like it is going to be a huge ProDrift weekend at Mondello Park in Ireland.

Current Formula Drift star and former ProDrift champion Darren McNamara was on the scene in Ireland as a guest judge for the weekend in Mondello Park. The driver Gavin Lenihan drove his way to a first place finish for the weekend in the Pro class. Right behind him was Michael Swan who has been on top of his game this season without a doubt performing well at all four rounds now.

Formula Drift star Darren McNamara is back at home in Ireland this weekend and is a guest judge for the Irish series ProDrift. Round 4 of the season is at Mondello Park which is one of the bigger events on the schedule. Darren is having a great season in Formula Drift and currently sits in 3rd for the championship race. He is keeping pace and ready to make a championship run if he and the Saturn Sky have it in them over the next few rounds. He has placed on the podium for half the events this season. The Team NFS drivers Darren McNamara and Fredric Aasbo are going to be busy this summer in between Formula Drift. The EA Games franchise Need for Speed sent us a schedule of where you can find their team drivers over the summer in Europe. Darren McNamara will be in his rotary powered AE86 which you can drive in Need for Speed SHIFT 2 and Fredric Aasbo will be in his Abu Dhabi winning Toyota Supra (pictured above). Here are the four events these guys can be seen at throughout the summer.
