Patrick Mordaunt – Drifting in 2009

Check out this quick video promoting Patrick Mordaunt in his 2009 drifting season. Patrick will be bringing this red Nissan 350z above to competition in Formula Drift for 2010 in turn retiring the S14 which you see in most of this video. Irwindale Speedway has been insane today as we all expected. Justin Pawlak took home the top qualifying seed while all eyes fall on Chris Forsberg who sealed up 8th place . Ryan Tuerck locked in second place which is really spicing things up for tomorrow.

After six rounds the championship points have been shaking up like crazy and now we are looking at a Drift Alliance 1,2,3 in the championship race. This season has shown that sticking with basic builds and familiar cars pays off since winning the championship really comes from consistent scoring. Patrick Mordaunt’s Gold S14 Crash from Formula D Las Vegas

Import2Race captured this video at Formula D Las Vegas which looks like it came from the grandstands. Patrick Mordaunt comes flying into turn one and cannot quite make the whole turn and smahes into the wall hard. Ken Gushi who was following him managed to stay out of the mess. After watching this it’s a shock that Patrick Mordaunt got back on the road for Top 32.

The championship chase is on with two rounds left in Formula D. Chris Forsberg put a bigger gap on his lead while Tyler McQuarrie jumped into 3rd place. With two rounds left it looks like the top five guys are who we need to have our eye on unless Chris Forsberg keeps winning events then it won’t really matter at all.

After destroying his car in Las Vegas it looks like Patrick Mordaunt went for a new color to finish off the Formula Drift season. With three rounds to go I am really digging the new look on his car! Let’s see how he can do to finish off the season.
