If you plan on drifting this year and passing tech inspection then you will need an approved tow strap. A $40.00 product that makes sure you meet spec and have no issues getting your car towed if it unfortunately needs to be done in the 2010 season. If you have any questions on the product drop them in the comments section.

We have stock piled a couple years of Drift Tengoku over the years and we have decided to put our office collection up for sale. It’s a pretty full collection between 2005 and 2009 and check back as we will be progressively adding new issues as time goes on.

If your a Netflix user I am sure you are familiar with the great Watch Instantly feature they now offer. Well On the Scene: Drift Battle was recently added to instant streaming feature from best we can tell giving all you drift fans a weekend treat. In fact, I am watching it right now as I type out this post with great flashbacks into the early days of drifting in America. The video clocks in at just over one hour and ten minutes. Remember you can send Neflix to your Xbox360 so you can watch this on your television. It’s worth a few minutes if you want to check out Formula Drift stars back in the day.I love the interview with Ross Petty that is truly a classic.
If your not a Netflix member you can always buy it from Wrecked Magazine: http://www.wreckedmagazine.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=65_72&products_id=256

Drifting worldwide recently lost a legend with the passing of Atsushi Kuroi. In case you missed his passing last month you can find out more information here: D1GP Driver Atushi Kuroi Dead At Age 40. Here is a video of Atsushi Kuroi laying down an insane qualifying run at Ebisu Circuit in his Toyo Tires x River Side PS13. The guys at Origin USA have made several items to mark his honor and effect on the drifting community worldwide.

We sold out of this item as fast as we listed it on the Wrecked Magazine store. We just got a new inventory so it’s back up on the store for sale. We have quite a bit more inventory this time so hopefully we can make it a few days without selling out of this item.

We got a small stock pile of the Sam Hubinette car that matches the Summit Point 2007 liverly. That was the only victory for the Dodge Charger in Formula Drift history before it was retired. This is the first Formula D car released by Hot Wheels to date. We have the car for sale in our Wrecked Magazine store but have a limited stock, act fast on this one.

The NHRA Winter Nationals is going on this weekend and I swung by the NHRA Museum which is on the Los Angeles Fairgrounds in Pomona. This is where ticket will call is for everyone attending the races this weekend. As you walk in and turn right you will find Sam Hubinette’s Dodge Charger that won the 2007 Summit Point race along with the 2008 International Mexico event.

The Bergenholtz Racing Honda CRX is also sitting next to Sam Hubinette’s Dodge Charger. This was pretty cool to see during a NHRA race week that these cars were on display front and center. Remember, during race weeks you can attend the museum for free of charge if you want to check the cars out regardless of if you buy a ticket to the race or not.

We also have a new product in the store that I will show you a day early since it involves the MOPAR Dodge Charger seen above. Hot Wheels has also decided to immortalize the car along with the NHRA with a MOPAR Dodge Charger Drift Car that looks just like the 2007 competition car.

While I am pretty much a “gaijin” I do enjoy browsing Yahoo! Japan auctions for random goods when I get the chance. This morning I found Daigo Saito’s JZX 100 for sale. It’s listed at 3,500,000 yen (roughly $40,000 US) and possibly has 1 bid on it from what I can tell. Pardon my inability to read anything on the auction page but I am sure some of our comment crew can help us out. Anyway, if your looking for a turn key drifting car for Japan and have millions of yen tucked in a shoebox, this might be for you.

Our graphic designer shot me a link to this iDrift product for that Apple product they just announced called the iPad that nobody will ever buy. Well the over priced large Apple iTouch apparently is already getting some aftermarket support with this product posted on Gizmodo called the iDrift. They probably could of used a better image for the iPad screen but this thing looks hysterical. Would you buy this to play drifting games on the iPad?
