Back in 2010 Matt Powers finished the season in 16th place and he managed to knock that down to 6th in 2011 with a great performance all around this year. One of his big upgrades was from his KA Nissan engine to a GMPP LS7 giving him tons of horsepower and torque on demand. He could earn this award next year by taking home the championship perhaps?

Matt Powers hit Chris Forsberg at LBC and Darren McNamara at Road Atlanta so who else could earn this award for Hardest Charger. After those two actions at the beginning of the year he was even warned to tone it down a little bit! Matt Powers never backed down this year and has one beat to hell S14 chassis to prove it. He earned the hardest charger award by far.

Matt Powers (far left) is a surfer, San Diego bum, 80′s rocker, and race car driver all in one. His style is unmatched in the grid and unique attitude makes him stand out. Team Need for Speed grabbed him up after his rookie rise to a podium at Irwindale Speedway. Team Need for Speed has helped him take a step into the next level all around. Even though he bailed on the Mattley Crew his swagger has carried him an easy Best Personal Style award.

I have been trying to dig up some information about this event in China over the weekend but I can tell you that Vaughn Gittin Jr. took home the win. Matt Powers also took home second place to finish off a great 1/2 punch. Robbie Nishida and Daigo Saito also came in to China to compete in the event.
