2011 Formula Drift Pro Am from PBIR [RESULTS]

The 2011 season for Formula Drift Pro Am has been a great one so far this year. PBIR’s Pro Am was held with Streetwise Drift and had a great turnout of drivers for the weekend. In the end however former pro Doug Van Den Brink took home the victory over the local Florida drivers. The local Enjuku Racing driver Patrick Goodin took home third place after a battle with Charles Thompson.

Hold the Line Round 1 at Monticello Pro Am

The Monticello Motorclub was taken over by the new Formula D Pro Am series called Hold the Line. The northeast has produced some of the best drivers in American professional drifting history and now they are bringing up new Pro Am drivers through this Hold the Line series. A track with a touch of class and hungry Am drivers sets the scene for this great video.

2011 Evergreen Drift Round 1 [RESULTS]

The weekend was full of grassroots and Pro Am events around the country and the northwest was no exception. They kicked off the Evergreen Drift Pro Am series with a Round 1 event. The event took place at the Formula D Evergreen Speedway circuit. The top qualifier was Andrew Commes who also took home first place overall in the event.

Just Drift Top Drift Round 2 [RESULTS]

Wrecked Magazine blogger Dave Briggs continues his rampage of California drift events by taking home another win at Just Drift. This one comes at Horse Thief Mile for Top Drift Round 2. In the Top 16 he made some contact with the 16 place car but was able to get it back out in the Top 8 without a problem. He was able to wheel the ASD/Falken S14 to a first place qualifying spot and a top finish at Just Drift. Enjoy the Just Drift gallery if you would like to see how the event went. Just Drift – Top Drift Round 2 [GALLERY]

Ricky Cervantes set out to take on Just Drift’s Top Drift Round 2 at Willow Springs this weekend. He came back with a 400+ image gallery packed full of content and dirt drops from the event at Horse Thief Mile. Dave Briggs was the winner of the event in his ASD/Falken Tire S14 seen above.

Hold the Line Pro Am Round 1 [RESULTS]

The first ever Hold the Line Pro Am event was held today at Monticello Motor Club. The results are in from the this first event that we have heard went off without a hitch. Here is how the podium wound up:

3rd- Dan Savage



2011 Vegas Drift Pro Am – LVMS Bullring Lot [GALLERY]

 

The Las Vegas Motor Speedway venue was invaded for late April to kick off the Vegas Drift Pro Am series. Sa Jamil Hogan grabbed a camera and documented the Round 1 event for the website. The top chargers of the Saturday event included the winner Andrew Hateley and local star Joshua Guild. This event just happened north of the XDC Phoenix event that was going on at Firebird Raceway.

Vegas Drift Pro Am Round 1 [RESULTS]

The 2011 season is in full swing all around the world now and Am series are no exception to the mix. Former Formula Drift driver Andrew Hateley took home the victory at the Bullring Lot yesterday. Las Vegas Motor Speedway throws it all at the young drivers as one of the harder and faster Am courses in the country. The number #1 qualifier for the day and winner of the Retaks “Insane Entry” award was Eugene Remishevskly. Here is how the podium cleaned up below.

Vegas Drift Pro Am Kicks Off in 12 Days [FLYER]

In 12 days on April 23rd you can get your drifting fix once again in Las Vegas, Nevada as the Vegas Pro-Am series kicks off at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The event will be located on the Bullring Lot. If your not familiar with the track layout or Vegas Drift you can check out a 2010 Gallery from Round 3 at the same location shot by Ricky Cervantes. Drivers will pay $150.00 for a full day of drifting and spectators can come in the door for $5.00. Former Formula Drift judge Ernie Fixmer will judge the competition along with former driver Tommy Suell.

2011 Midwest Drift Union Round 1

Midwest Drift Union kicked off in 2011 with Round 1 at the Sportsdrome Speedway in Clarksville, Indiana. Above is Brian Peter drifting in his ASD Mazda Rx-7 at the MDU event. All the photos were shot by Nick Quigley.

The winner of the event was Kris Hackenson in his black S14 (pictured above) which he took home in a Top 16 tandem elimination format. Second place was taken by Nick Thomas and Mike Pollard closed out the podium in third place.

We will keep you posted on how the Formula Drift Pro Am season develops with the Midwest Drift Union. The next event from MDU will be on May 15th at Autocity Speedway.
