While I am pretty much a “gaijin” I do enjoy browsing Yahoo! Japan auctions for random goods when I get the chance. This morning I found Daigo Saito’s JZX 100 for sale. It’s listed at 3,500,000 yen (roughly $40,000 US) and possibly has 1 bid on it from what I can tell. Pardon my inability to read anything on the auction page but I am sure some of our comment crew can help us out. Anyway, if your looking for a turn key drifting car for Japan and have millions of yen tucked in a shoebox, this might be for you.

D1GP USA Englishtown from Slidewayz Motorsports
The finishing videos of the D1GP USA season are rolling in right now. This one from Slidewayz Motorsports caught our attention with a video with some great east coast flair and feel. A solid piece highlighting some of the best drivers from Japan and the local east coast. Englishtown provided a great platform for an entertaining video.

Since Englishtown has ended we have been getting reports about the D1 Grand Prix USA website going down. We sent out a message inquiring while the website would go down during the off season and will update this post if we get a a reply. Is the website coming back up? They did also have a downtime period during the season, maybe it’s time to pony up for a better web host? If the website does never come back up we at least have the 2009 season archived in our gallery that you can check out.

D1 Grand Prix Etown by Nathaniel Chen
We have posted some of Nathaniel Chen’s videos before and I love the work he pumps out. I didn’t realize until yesterday however that he is only 17 years old. With the fact that he is being in high school still I think this video is a huge testament to the kids abilities. The video runs down the normal stuff for the night event at Englishtown Raceway leaving Daigo Saito in his Chaser the winner of the round. Steve Angerman who is gracing our current Wrecked Magazine cover was the highest finishing American.
