Ingemars Jekabson 2014 Build Preview – A E64 BMW 6-Series

Posted on Apr 29, 2014 In Drift All-Stars International

The European drift scene has officially gone off the deep end I tell you! Some of the builds the continent has been releasing this year are just out of this world. This build from Ingemars Jekabson in Latvia might just take the cake however for awesomeness. He is build a E64 BMW 6-Series swapping the BMW motor out for a Chevrolet LS3 crate engine that he plans to twin turbo. The car as you can see in the second photo has been retrofitted to run a WiseFab kit. Ingemars finished second last year at the Drift All-Stars Riga round and we hope to see this car in action there this year!

I attended my first drift event at Road Atlanta in 2005 while shooting for Import Racer Magazine (RIP). Since then I have produced drift content for PAS Magazine, Modified Magazine, Drifting Magazine (RIP), and many more publications. I was the producer of the movie Slide America and then helped found this website in 2007.

Could they have picked a bigger car to build? 3 and 5 series are awesome but this guy might be a little too heavy. We’ll see…

  2. girts says:

It is not heavy! Actually it is lighter tan 5 series. Many aluminium and plastic parts.
whole front frame is made from aluminum.
And plastic bodyparts. Whait , till you see a bodykit that I am making for this super light beast.
