Vaughn Gittin Jr. Visits Spain for Gymkhana Grid Finals

Posted on Nov 4, 2013 In International Non Drifting Vaughn Gittin Jr.

Vaughn Gittin Jr. flew out to Spain to run the Gymkhana Grid to hang out with his Monster Energy drink family/friends over in Europe. While doing so he hopped on the track and put down the second fastest RWD time of the weekend 50.2 falling just shy of Luke Fink. His time even ran close to Ken Block who was just 1.44 seconds faster in the AWD category. Vaughn is now traveling to SEMA for the week to provide demos in the Ford Out Front category of the show.

Wrecked-Just a quick correction. The 50.2 we ran was the fastest RWD time of the weekend. Lukes fastest time was 50.7

I was not competing however I did run Luke whom was the rwd class winner in a fun exhibition race. Luke did win that race and it was a great time sharing the track with him. Luke is a solid bro!

The event was a blast, and I enjoyed overcoming many challenges that are different to what I am used to in drifting.

    something to think about.
what happens when the most commercially succesful driver in drifting gets over you assclowns hating on him every chance you can and he decides to do something else.
heres what happens. all his sponsors like ford and monster energy go with him to what he does next.
what killed drifting? stupid fans saying stupid shit and sponsors reading it. if you are drift fans and care about drifting get a brain. dudes like gittin and tuerck and forsberg are who are holding this shit together.

What can JR do good other then drift? I think drifting did a hell of a lot for Vaughn. Before all this he was a IT guy, not a world class rally driver or sports car racer. I agree those guys are really the core of what is American Drifting, but they need the sport just as much if not more then it needs them.

Drifting did do a hell of a lot for Vaughn but without his skills and talent would it of mattered? Everyone loves to hate on success and Vaughn is one of the most successful out there.
