Here is a video of the finals captured by Car.Nifty.comĀ showing one insane follow by Daigo Saito in the Sunoco Toyota. The FD Asia driver and owner of Chris Forsberg’s 09 championship 350z vert took home his first D1GP podium in another big body Toyota. Here is how they finished up:

1. Daigo Saito
2. Max Orido
3. Emmanuel Amandio

  1. therontous says:

I would have given that battle to max better angle better proximity.

  2. Scaifey86 says:

Daigo won, there is no other result possible.
Would Dio also be the first international driver to podium in an actual D1 event?

  3. rotarypower says:

@Therontous lol proximity there was none it was over as soon as daigo got air born go look at it again smh

  4. therontous says:

My bad i thought diago was in the black car. Diagos chase run was sick he won for sure

  5. Yo says:

    lol stupid

  6. Wing Zero says:

Man….. Daigo either needs to use his Chaser State side. Or the IS250 or even Sam’s Challenger, or that Viper he’s working on and run the SC430 in Japan. Because while his SC430 is a freakin beast. It just doesn’t seem like he can get the angle with his SC430 as he can with his IS250 or that Challenger from Sam. And definatly not as much as his Chaser!

I can’t wait to see that Viper of his in action though. I got a feeling that thing is going to be a angle whore. XD

  7. Mike Peters says:

Why isn’t he running the Challenger?

    Too Challenging?

  8. Steve B. says:

way off topic but why was there so much hate on joons livery and not daigos? daigos livery is boring n looks like shit on this chaser. d1 and daigo dick riders for sure.

  9. Yo says:

If you compare it to Joon’s, Joon’s paint is still fucking gay

  10. Blaze1 says:

    I think you are correct

  11. Joon Maeng’s current car is pretty fugly. The Holley intake sticking through the hood is real and pretty awesome, but the way the wrap is put together makes it pretty ugly.
