The 2013 D1NZ season has come to a close after the final round at Taupo Motorsport Park. Daniel Woolhouse took his Holden Commodore V8 to a second championship in his career. He outqualified Mad Mike Whiddett by a half point during the final round weekend and he barely kept his car together over the weekend to take home a win. The car was rebuilt overnight and barely made it out to compete. Here is how the series championship finished up:

1. Daniel Woodhouse (538 points)
2. Mad Mike Whiddett (461.5 points)
3. Curt Whittaker (450.5 points)

I’m so happy for Fanga! I was rooting for him all season. He started off real strong then seemed to struggle mid season. Glad he battled it out for top spot.

did mad mike miss a round? Or did he really get his butt kicked that bad?

  4. Wing Zero says:

He had a few bad rounds. And had some car issue’s early in the season. Actually he was alot further back. He actually gained ALOT in the last 3 rounds of the season. But with Fanga getting another win and being consistend most of the year he took the championship. :)

Ya Mad Mike had a real shitty start to the season and o do actually think he missed a round, after he got everything settled he came on strong and defiantly looked like he could of taken the top spot.
