Dean Kearney has been putting back together his old Dodge Viper for the 2013 Formula Drift season and we now have some good information on his new big sponsor. The company is an LED company called Oracle Lightning! They will title sponsor the #43 Dodge Viper SRT10. The car will officially be unveiled at Spring Festival in Irvine, California this Saturday. What do you think of how the Viper is coming together for Dean Kearney in 2013?

*Edit at 9:11pm – After talking to the team this is actual a new chassis with SHR goodies.

  1. Taylor says:

Can’t see him being that competitive, He’s going to finish outside of the top 15 (for the year)

  2. SamuraiSam says:

Wow, didn’t V-LED’s title sponsor him for 2 seasons? Wonder if he pissed them off, or vice versa. this seems like a slap in the face to them

  3. Karnage says:

It’s a whole new chassis being built & not the old SHR car. A hell of a lot lighter & with some INSANE plans and developments to be rolled out through the season.

Regarding V-LEDS: I spoke with Jake and Nicole prior to making anything public and they understand. Racing is racing & it costs money. So to say its a slap in the face is unfair, given the fact that everyone needs sponsors and changes tires, fuels, sponsors each year – this would be as stupid as me saying to other drivers i know personally in FD paddock that it “was a slap in my face” for sending V-LEDS proposals each year…..

Anyway, I’m absolutely pumped to be working with Oracle Lighting who really see value in my program with the MOPAR association which is important to their current business & sales. Personally i cannot thank them enough for coming onboard.

As a team owner and driver for 2013 I have formed a pretty amazing group of partners & sponsors around me and look forward to Long Beach when the adventure really begins for Team Karnage.

See you all at Spring Fest 8 for the unveiling or at FD Long Beach in a few weeks.

  4. jabroni says:

Deans a good driver all the runs he did put down in that V-LEDs s14 were sick and he had some good finishes and good battles…that car just broke axles and other things like it was its job 🙁

  5. GillyG says:

Dean Kearney has worked so hard his whole life to get here, nobody realises the time and effort that is put into running a car and securing sponsors in the US all while living and working in Ireland. He has the skills and talent to be at the top of his game but never had car to do in until this year.
    Good luck to him.

  6. Mike Peters says:

Well said above Dean, and good luck this year. Viper looks rad.

  9. joe says:
