WiseFab Debuts Formula Drift Legal Kit for S-Chassis [VIDEO]

Posted on Mar 13, 2013 In Formula D International Video

WiseFab hooked up with Dmitry Illyuk in his Monster Energy/Kenda Tire S-chassis to test and talk about the development of the all new Wisefab kit made to be Formula Drift and worldwide series legal. They modified the top of the shock to come out from the factory holes and a camber plate which stopped them from modifying the mounting point which is a Formula Drift no go. The new setup gives you 65 degrees of angle while keeping the wheel as flat as possible on the ground in the process. The guys at WiseFab also told us that two Formula Drift drivers will be running this kit for the 2013 season.

More companies need to make product videos like this!! Even though you can tell English isn’t his first language, it’s very easy to understand and a great explanation of what makes the part FD legal.

I’m buying this ASAP. Solved alot of configuring issues for me.

Interesting design, one thing I am unsure of is how to adjust castor? The LCA has a built in non adjustable tension rod which goes to the factory mount. Without independent camber/caster plates on top, is there a way to adjust castor from the bottom?

Hell yeah. Bout time someone did this. Rad vid too.

  5. Wisefab says:

Little correction is that two cars are running our kits in FD, but not Nissans. We are still trying to find the Nissan to run it on in there.

  6. There’s a slight adjustment available in the lower arm to fit the it, but there is no need to adjust caster. The guys at Wisefab have already calculated the best possible values that will work with their kit so it’s all setup and you can’t screw it up :)
