We have some solid confirmations from several sources that the Bergenholtz Racing program will not continue into the 2013 season. The program as of now hasn’t been green lite with sponsors for the season and it seems like they will be gone at this point in time for 2013. Our sources tell us that Chelsea DeNofa will be making his team announcement this week! This is chalking up to be one crazy off-season out of no where.
Won’t really make a difference, bergenholtz racing has never been successful anyway.
what was the point of joining up with them then if this was going to happen?
They should put that bad ass 3 rotor in an ft86!
It’s not gunna be the same not hearing that car blast around.
Not surprised.
Super bummed out but it’s about time that RX8 gets put out of its misery
Thats a bummer but made sense for denover, why drive a rushed built car after a crash when you can find a ride for the rest of the season and develop the car to get it right
Wonder if the sponsors who wouldn’t green light were Lucas Oil and Nitto, and if that had anything to do with them choosing Joon and Vaughn instead?
Sadly not a surpprise. A big budget team with no success and ever decreasing sponsorship was always living on borrowed time.
Cody is probably right since Bergenholtz main sponsors were both from Joon Maeng and both feature on his new car.
The good news is were not loosing any drivers, just a car that never quite worked and broke alot more than it should…
braaaapppaaaapppapppaappp poppop pop halfshaft failure x30!!!!!
Danm man…. Gonna miss that RX8! Thing was a beast and Chelsea showed how good the car really was! No discounting Joon’s driving skills in the least but Chelsea just went hard in that car!!
Hope they find sponsorship for later in the season into 2014.
did they ever finish in the top 16 since Pawlak left?
Those guys were kinda a joke… nice, but not competitive. Gardella / Papadakis / Bridges jumped into drifting and found success very quickly, wonder why Bergenholtz didnt
Bridges I wouldn’t say found it quickly. He was just smart about keeping it from going bad and never giving up. Got with the right program, and kicked ass. He is the Team manager comeback of the year IMO.
He only ran what, 1 full season before this year? and 1 or 2 partial seasons? that’s pretty quick. Especially compared to Bergenholtz who’s ran full seasons for like 5 or 6 years and still can’t get on the podium
Bergenholtz problem is they never kept drivers long enough for them to get comfortable and if they did, they weren’t there long enough to show it.

The rotary heart is heavy :’( I’m gonna miss it for sure
Nitto money going to Vaughn Gittin had to be the nail in the coffin
