It’s hard to deny that the V8 invasion has been steadily happening over the last several years. We even run one in our S13 project car, which Dennis Mertzanis is driving in the FD season. There’s some good interviews in this piece from drivers like Rhys Millen, Pat Mordaunt, and Tony Angelo. It looks like this is the first in a series of videos exploring the cars of the series, so stay tuned!
That was cool to watch. I don’t hate V8s in FD, but i love the fact that many of the drivers could have bazillion horsepower LS Setups, and still not be as competitive as Aasbo in his RWD converted 4 Banger. I wish he’d bring Chucky back to FD and unleash Hell.
Yaer productions had a good video on Vimeo also. Chelsea had the best quote “You don’t have to be so lazy…”.
Some people develop the skills and footwork to drive turbo cars, others don’t. It’s not necessarily good or bad, just two different approaches.
Do the guys who started with smaller or turbo motors feel like their driving and technique’s have changed since the switch. I Don’t other then maybe needing more time during a clutch kick to wait for rpm/boost to build. Maybe starting with a v8 you could miss learning some techniques..??!?!
kool video, just wonderin when this trend of having shitty ass music in car related videos is going to end..
reminds me of the mid 2000′s where all the skate videos had some shitty indie music.
