The Maxxis Z1 drift tire is back in Formula Drift for 2012 and now they are partnering up with City Tire to give XDC, Pro Am, and privateer FD drivers a blow out on Maxxis Tires. $95 a tire which includes all tire sizes (even 275/35ZR18) from them for a limited time. Also for drivers in Formula Drift you have Matt Field offering pit support to guys running Maxxis Tires free of charge thanks to Maxxis. Kenda Tire and Falken Tire also have similar reach out programs right now for drivers available. This tire is what took Chris Forsberg to a championship in 2009 with his orange 350z.
Glad to see companies helping out the little guys, even if it does help their own wallets too.
