The guys over at Powervehicles put together a 5 minute test/shake down video of Daigo Saito running his Lexus IS250 around the Ebisu Circuit before it heads to southeast Asia for Formula Drift Asia. The car looks like a blast to drive with a similar huge rear wing setup in the back to his Lexus SC430 here in America. It will take a few minutes into the video for him to really go at it but well worth the wait.
Doesnt he already have a 4 door in Malaysia? If so where is he getting the money to build all these cars?
That…is….awesome.
Blaze1, your post should have read “Best Formula D Asia car of 2012″
1000hp
@blaze1 Diago is one of the best drifters in the world. He’s payed. Plus companies are willing to give him cars. But Remember The soarer in formula d USA is a tsunami car he bought for $3000.
i am not usually into over the top looking body kits, and that looks a little testarossa-ish, but that being said, i love that thing
I heard both this car and his SC430 were tsunami cars that were flooded, and he got em cheap.
Im pretty sure hes not at a loss for sponsors or sponsor money either…….and this is this sweet i like it better than his FD car
I really am missing Saito in his Chasers, but damn he’s right at home in these Toyota convertibles.
I think this is also the beginning of some awesome new-era builds with all the Tsunami chassis.
Someone could make a killing buying them up and shipping them over here.
Dang, Daigo is taking advantage of those cars salvaged from the tsunami. He gets a good platform, swaps in a 2JZ for some good power and probably spends 20-30k bucks for a high HP drift car. This method could even be used to build a car that would easily destroy today’s supercars for a way larger fraction of the price of a normal supercar, sweet.
Daigo car changed rhythm and become more violent when they enter the quarter final. Easier to defeat opponents.
