Daigo Saito has recently been hard at working getting ready for the 2012 Formula Drift season. He’ll be competing in a rumored 1200hp Lexus SC430. The car should be completed soon and brought over from Japan shortly. Daigo should be able to keep up with all the V8′s this year with no problem. Hopefully the car is set to ship out stateside soon since Formula D Round 1 is right around the corner.
WOW DAIGOZILLA! That turbo is the size of a toilet bowl! You can barely see the Pikes Peak inspired monster wing. I really like the open top style better. I can’t wait to see Robbie’s car finished.

We went over all the rules with him and the wing was one of the topics, so yes it’s with in the rules.
Nitrous is pretty good at helping turbo lag. Daigo is very familiar with this set up. If anything the new Garrett GTX turbi will spool up better than his old stuff.

Same thing could be said about the any V8, but I’m not taking sides here. We all have seen what a killer 2JZ can help do with A LOT less power than Daigo’s car. Remember Aasbo’s Supra?
But if you have a LS1 v8 you can get a picture with no angle doing a 4th gear burnout at 20mph.
Doing that with a JZ requires throttle commitment, American drifter bro kids aren’t up to that challenge, that requires skill and work and stuff. Keep it sick bros.
What are you talking about Mike? Sure some amature with money gets an LS1-240sx without learning how to drift, then yes He will not be able to drift well in a 2JZ. Anyone with experience would understand how to drift either a V8 or a 2JZ and make it look good.

One that note…That one great thing about drifting is that its not like Basketball or the other usual overthetop sports. In drifting, anyone really can have a chance to run with the pros if you have the right motivation to get you there.
