Vegas Drift kicked off its series this weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway with a huge turnout of drivers and fans. Formula Drift drivers Odi Bakchis and Tommy Suell were both judges for the Pro Am drift weekend. Round 1 Breaking Point is in the books with former Formula Drift driver Andrew Hateley taking home a victory. Here is how the top four finished.
1- Andrew Hateley
2- Garret Nikolich
3- Shawn Smith
4- Daniel Kuo
I guess Garret finally got rid of that M30 or he figured something out that shockingly worked with that car. I’ve seen him drift in an S14 before and he is good for sure(as long as he avoids any fire hydrants
). It was that M30 that kept holding him back in the past.
I think Garret is actually driving an S13 now if I’m correct.
Last year soemtime the M30 was wrecked, whole rearend was fucked. He still drove it missile style at the get nutz lab party, but more recently I guess Forrest let Garret use one of his s13s and he put the motor from the M30 in there, that’s what he was driving for the event this past weekend.
Well that works! Thats cool of Forrets to lend him a chassis so he can drive. That kid has gone through a lot since he left PA. I’m sure he’s happy, and will do good with this setup now.
