“TAngelo Racing is happy to announce a return to drifting in 2012 with factory support from Scion Racing. After three years as a Formula Drift judge and technical manager, Tony’s long awaited return to competition is met with personal excitement and lots of hype from his fans.
Tony will be driving the #33 Scion Tc from 2011, with a whole new look and feel. The crew will consist of drifting favorites, “DA Aces” Lindsay Ross as spotter, and Mike “Carluch” Edwards wrenching on the car. While Tony has been keeping active in overseas competition and driving with “Bloodmasters,” a drifting gang producing explosive missile car videos out of Englishtown, NJ, he’s psyched to return to FD competition.
“I couldn’t be more excited to get back into the drivers seat for 2012,” Tony said. “Scion is a brand that is very active in drifting, and is doing really fun things for 2012. I’ve always been impressed by their presence in FD, and I am totally pumped to be part of the Scion Racing Family.”

teal in 2012 is the blue of 2005
Shame he can’t drive.
Not shocked this guy has no tire sponsors. For as stupid and pissy Scion seems to be (judging how they treat Wrecked publicly) I am shocked they partnered with such a… how do I say nicely…. controversial character?
Good luck TA in 2012 with this ride.
looks like an early 90′s trapper keeper attacked it.
I like Tony but hate the scheme!
I think its a work in progress. Most likely its just anything given by Tony to put up till a live pic is available.
That car looks way to low for Formula D specs.
Most likely is just a WIP. And one can assume for now that he’ll be running on Hankook Tires with Gushi since they are both under Scion Racing.
i was hoping to hear more details on the cars power plant. im sure tony and the crew wont just ignore the cars previous issues. Congrats tony! one hell of an opportunity to land factory support for a guy who hasnt driven much in 3 years.
Congratulations Tony! Excited to see you on track.
I wonder if it will have a v8 transplant to remove as many issues as the car has had over the past few seasons, either way i dig this livery its fresh and out there… Love it, good luck tony glad to see u back on the track rather than a booth
Congrats Tony. Looking forward to seeing you on the otherside of the fence.
Any big changes to the car or just graphics?
Yeah, it’s a work in progress, We are still looking for, and finalizing different sponsor deals. I promise it will be awesome when it’s done.
1jz in its hear spot??!!! this thing is going to see so many walls i cant wait, tony your my hero !! hope scion has a LOT of spare parts.
come on 1j would make this car win in so many ways and you know it !!!!!
@Casey: The same thing could have been said of Team NFS, but in both years, Matt had Nitto while Mad Mike had Falkens and Aasbo had Hankooks. Not sure how this will run, but they COULD both be Hankooks since SR is the parent sponsor and builder.
Congrats Tony! Good luck this year
This thing is AWESOME
i actually like the scheme on the car think it looks sick, good luck man
Every time I see this pic, I keep thinking of “Saved By The Bell”
Carluch can fix anything. even shitty ass jeeps. lol
I’m hoping something rotary just for the hell of it.
I’ll be glad to see Tony back in competition. He’s always been a super cool dude at all the drift events I’ve seen him at. He’s a real dude and deserves our grass roots support. I think the TC can and has been a capable platform and Tony will make the best of it. Good luck this year.
I am sure it will be dope when done. i am excited to see it…
The graphics are very dated. Love Tony’s old RX-8, but this one is sucking, get in touch with Andy Blackmore, he did the NFS and Gardella Cars
that rx-8 is awesome love the 787 scheme your nuts
