Up until yesterday, the Guinness world record for the longest drift was held by none other than 2010 Formula Drift Champion Vaughn Gittin Jr.

Yesterday at Mercedes-Benz World in Weybridge, England however, stunt driver Mauro Calo destroyed Vaughn Gittin Jr’s world record by sliding more than 1,290ft in a showroom stock Mercedes C63 AMG Sedan until one of the rear tires burst.

  3. g- says:

I think Jr should link the Englishtown road course this weekend at East Coast Bash and settle this once and for all.

  4. moose says:

Tuerck all ready linked the entire etown road course last year at ECB

  5. Ignited says:

Ya, but can he actually drift? We can all do donuts till the tires pop. I thought the point of JR taking the title was so an actual drifter held the record and not someone whom has nothing to do with drifting.

Matt’s on to something here. The record never required street tires, right?

  6. Mike Peters says:

I tried to make it thru this entire video, still can’t do it.

  7. Klaus says:

SLS drift car would be uber sweet yah. Makes me tingle in my lederhosen.
