2011 Formula Drift Road Atlanta Around the Corner
Formula Drift produced and sent out this video previewing Road Atlanta which is coming in just under two weeks. The Atlanta have the best fans in the series and some of the best tandem runs you can dream up. Justin Pawlak sits in the lead and intends to keep it that way while Matt Powers, Dai Yoshihara, and 2009 champion Chris Forsberg are in close chase.

The British Drifting Championship kicked off at Donington Park over the weekend. Photographer Chris Wynne snapped some photographs for us to document the first round. The event was full of some fun drift cars including this E30 BMW above.

This Friday Fast Five comes out in theaters all around the United States. It looks like stunt driver Sam Hubinette has his hood running Fast Five for promotion over the Road Atlanta weekend coming up in just under two weeks. The Fast Five movie brings characters back from the dead and fills the film with stars from all four movies.

The Las Vegas Motor Speedway venue was invaded for late April to kick off the Vegas Drift Pro Am series. Sa Jamil Hogan grabbed a camera and documented the Round 1 event for the website. The top chargers of the Saturday event included the winner Andrew Hateley and local star Joshua Guild. This event just happened north of the XDC Phoenix event that was going on at Firebird Raceway.

The 2011 season is in full swing all around the world now and Am series are no exception to the mix. Former Formula Drift driver Andrew Hateley took home the victory at the Bullring Lot yesterday. Las Vegas Motor Speedway throws it all at the young drivers as one of the harder and faster Am courses in the country. The number #1 qualifier for the day and winner of the Retaks “Insane Entry” award was Eugene Remishevskly. Here is how the podium cleaned up below.

Ken Gushi Takes Daigo Saito’s Missile Out in Japan
Last time Ken Gushi visited Japan he grabbed Daigo Saito’s missile car and headed out to the Nikko Circuit and Ebisu Circuit with a JZX90. It looks like Ken Gushi had a blast ripping up these two legendary Japanese racetracks. Don’t miss out on this one!

George Marstanovic took home his first victory with his FC Mazda Rx-7 earlier today with a victory at Firebird Raceway. George killed it all day and wound up finishing first after defeating former Formula Drift star Alex Pfeiffer. Here is how the top four finished.

Super Drift Italy by Clash Productions
The guys at Clash Productions visited Italy for an amazing look into the Italian drifting scene. It is an area we haven’t heard much from over the past years but they have quite a few BMW’s sliding around the track. The video even has a camao from an older generation Subaru WRX converted to RWD sliding around the racetrack.

A late entry into the mix for the 2011 season was just announced by Tengku Djan. He drove at the Redbull World Championship with the Silvia pictured above. He will be bringing out a LS7 powered 180sx to compete at the Las Vegas and Irwindale rounds of this season. Back in June 2010 Tengku Djan became a Drift Alliance Ace and earlier this year he finished in second place at the Formula Drift International event in Qatar. Djan has quite a reputation in Southeast Asia and is ready to compete on America’s stage towards the end of 2011.
