Luke Lonberger Caught Testing his C6 Corvette at Horse Thief Mile [SPY SHOTS]

Posted on Mar 5, 2011 In Formula D Spy Shots

With Streets of Long Beach quickly approaching, 2011 Rookie of the Year hopeful Luke Lonberger was caught shaking down the Hankook Tire/Blu808 C6 Corvette at Horse Thief Mile this morning. It would appear that these runs are his first in this new chassis, and from the looks of things he’s looking pretty solid and making plenty of smoke. With more seat time and additional tuning, there’s no doubt in my mind that this will be a car to be reckoned with come Long Beach.

Wow! That is one badass ride!

The only way it could be cooler is if he ditched the V8 and dropped in a SR. :D **sarcasm**

    Good luck Luke!

  2. Mike peters says:

How can he run for rookie of the year when he did Fd in 04? Lol.

  3. Johnny-On-The-Spot says:

Mike – how many events did he compete in back in ’04?

Aasbo and Kearney were given rookie status in ’10 despite competing in 1 event in ’09

    Like 2004 really counted Mike!

  5. Johnny-On-The-Spot says:

Tanner Foust didn’t drive in 2004. Therefore, it wasn’t srs bzns

Hello Chevrolet!!! You listening?? Come sponsor fd with spec engines for everyone. 90% using your stuff anyways.

Looks as good as we anticipated! Good luck for 11′.

shrug, just seems odd to be running for roty when he ran the series over 5 years ago. I don’t know how many events, I just remember seeing the “shock drifting” stuff in 04-06
