Just after F0rmula D Round 3 at Wall Speedway Appendix C.2 got updated with approved tires for the Formula Drift series. The latest addition is for new tire company Nexen who received approval for the N9000 model tire. This should be interesting to see if performances from Kyle Mohan, Taka Aono, or Cyrus Martinez improve with the new tire. This is also a list of all approved tires for the series in case you have never seen it.

old news… but great!!!!!
Falken has alot of tires on the list, but then again they support alot of drivers. On the other hand, dang cooper has 5 diferent tires? Do they even support 5 diferent teams? lol
And federal is still on the list? Wow!
Who runs federals, I didn’t know they had a team still.
I’m stuck wondering, why isn’t there Bridgestone or Yokohama here? What discounts tires/companies from being eligible?
WTF federal never even heard of that shit. why no Goodyear in FD, They have drift tires else where.
Bobby and Donnie
You gotta pay to play in the series.
Yokohama was a tire provider from 04-05 and came back for a bit in 08 to provide for Yoshioka and Orido.
Bridgestone backed out of drifting in of 08
Goodyear has “drift” tires, but they are not availible in the states. There target market does not fall in to the drifting crowd.
huh, that sucks. Especially in Japan, Yokohama and Bridgestone are monsters in the series, don’t see why they wouldn’t do it up again in Formula D. And the Goodyear line, we have the GS-D3 in America, I think Mad Mike uses them in the NZ series. Hard to believe they’re not in on America.
wheres dunlop?
…not on the list
2 Donny & Bobby, Yokohama, Bridgestone & Dunlop/Goodyear are big in Japanese drifting, yes, but mostly in GP series – where the BIG money are.
and for grassroot level and Street-legal competitions. Federal sells tons of 595RS-R and even more usual 595 in Japan.
