The Bro Show – Episode 3 Featuring Chris Forsberg

Break.com’s new comedy routine is called “The Bro Show” and with Episode 3 they visit Chris Forsberg at Toyota Speedway for a great prank. The prank involves a human clipping point cone and an accident which you can watch unfold in Episode 3. We were live during the filming and created this post featuring photos of the shoot which you can view here. Episode 3 does start with some go karts on ice but quickly gets moving over to the House of Drift where the prank is settled.

Stephan Verdier in X-Games SuperRally

It looks like Stephan Verdier will be joining Sam Hubinette in X-Games SuperRally next month. According to a PR he has entered the X-Games SuperRally race for this summers X-Games in Los Angeles. Just after Formula D Seattle he will be converting his car back to AWD with the help of Crawford Performance. He will be scoring a new engine and transmission during the changeover as well. The biggest news is that it won’t be his first appearance in X-Games history. Apparently back in 2002 he competed in SkierCross during the X-Games so it will be his second attempt at the action sport olympics.

Rhys Millen Misses 10 Minute Mark by One Minute Plus at Pikes Peak Hillclimb 2010

Rhys Millen couldn’t tackle the peak this year as weather rolled in right as he attacked the hill. We showed up right as his transponder failed near the start line and a last minute switch was made. While all this was happening clouds and crappy weather were rolling over the summit about 3,000 feet and some miles above us. Rhys was only able to run a 11:06 which was off pace of his sub 10 minute goal.

We were at Pikes Peak to document the great occasion and see the Hyundai PM580 take off up the hill. Later this week we will have a gallery and quite a story to tell about the longest 10 minutes I have stood waiting in history. Monster Tajima retained his record as fastest up the hill and claimed first place over the weekend with a 10:11.5. Several people at the track informed us his transponder actually fell off the car during his run by timing is logged manually as a backup. It was quite a crazy weekend at Pikes Peak. We didn’t catch up with Andrew Comrie Picard but he ran his Mitsubishi Evo up the hill and wound up with some front end damage and we snapped some photos of that.

James Deane Wins Prodrift Round 3 at Citywest

James Deane

It looks like James Deane is still on a rampage this 2010 season taking home the victory at Prodrift in Dublin over the weekend. I was even told that Dean Kearney showed up at Citywest in Dublin to make a return to the series. Regardless of that it was the Deane brothers taking home first and second for the event. James was able to defeated his older brother Mike to take home another win in the 2010 season. Here is how the top four finished up.

1st- James Deane
2nd- Mike Deane
3rd- Alan Sinnot
4th- Chris Brady

Masayoshi Tokita wins D1GP Japan Round 4 at Okayama

Masayoshi Tokita is the D1GP Okayaka winner

According to our reports the weather was the huge factor in this weekends event. The finals between Orido and Tokita were insane and so close they went into sudden death (One More Time) round. In the end the round winner became Masayoshi Tokita after a tough judges decision the judges called another sudden death round (One More Time). On the second run the judges said that Orido went off track and credited Tokita with a win. More updates will be coming in shortly for Round 4 and the championship points chase for D1GP Japan.

Pikes Peak Live Stream Kicks off at 9:00am MST

Starting at 9:00am MST you can watch all the action from Pikes Peak as Rhys Millen attempts to take on the mountain in under 10 minutes. The feed is provided on the USAC Racing website or you can just click the link we have below.  We will be on the scene tomorrow to see how Rhys Millen tackles the Hill. Hopefully we don’t pass out from a lack of oxygen before he runs. It looks like Rhys is going to be a little slower than Nobuhiro Tajima in the Suzuki. Right now he is 14 seconds off pace on qualifying but they don’t run the whole hill to qualify. This should leave tomorrow with some quite interesting results.
