Steve Angerman’s LS7 Solstice was out at the East Coast Bash this past weekend doing some testing it seems by Ryan Tuerck. We’ll be looking to see Steve in some Xtreme Drift Circuit events in the remaining part of the 2010 season. The car looks like a beast with the LS7 (C6 Z06 engine) and makes us wonder if Ryan Tuerck will be bailing on the EcoTech motor for some V8 torque/rumble. It seems like Angerman shaking down/testing the platform in XDC is a logical next step to take it to Formula Drift.

Check out Pro Drift Round 2 at Punchestown over  our Memorial Day weekend. Tons of motorsport events were going on including DMCC Round 1 and East Coast Bash for the holiday weekend in America. Over in Ireland at ProDrift they managed to shut down the on fire star James Deane to a fourth place finish. Here is how the podium stacked up:

1st – Nigel Colfer
2nd – Gavin Lenihan
3rd – Alan Sinnott

Check out some great coverage from a wild weekend on the east coat. Englishtown Raceway was invaded by the East Coast Bash once again for a fun filled weekend of drifting and insanity. Pro drivers like Vaughn Gittin Jr. and Mad Mike brought out competition cars for shake down runs. Ryan Tuerck brought out the LS7 Pontiac Solstice for some shake down runs before Steve Angerman drifts it in Xtreme Drift Circuit later this year.

Mark Landreville took home the victory today at DMCC round one in his pink Nissan S14. Congrats to him for his excellent performance at Drift Mania Round 1. Matt Waldin (2009 Champion) lost to him in the finals and XDC Round 1 winner David Briggs almost got third and landed on the podium. Round 2 of DMCC is just around the corner.

Robbie Nishida headed over to Apexi and snapped some photos of Ryuji’s new SC430. Hopefully the car will be at the next round. I don’t think he’ll be using it until round four since he hasn’t even been out testing. The car looks like it should be in D1GP with that mean looking front end. I cant wait to see this thing run.

Throttle Thursday is back in action again just before the Formula Drift Round 3 weekend. The event is being hosted by Scotty Cranmer “the Bulldozer” who is is a BMX rider for VANS and Monster Energy Drink. Ryan Tuerck and Vaughn Gittin Jr. will be in attendance along with other Formula D stars. Our resident blogger Jeremy Glover sent me these images he shot of Claude Poirier’s V8 powered Nissan 350z. While the article linked with these photos is in French we do know that Carl and the BFGoodrich team are grearing up for this weekends first DMCC event of 2010. Here is what his new car looks like that will be drifting for the first time this weekend. Pictures of the DMCC Round 1 will be up right after the event is over!

We wrote some blogs earlier about Tyler McQuarrie’s performance in the World Challenge series over the Mosport weekend. He took to his Wrecked Magazine blog to show off what it’s like driving around in the LPL Lotus Exige S. He has a GoPro camera mounted to his helmet as he rips around the track.
