A Peak Inside the NHRA Museum During Winter Nationals
Posted by Wrecked Magazine on 14 Feb 2010 at 07:00 pm | Tagged as: Formula D, Lifestyle, Merchandise, Sam Hubinette

The NHRA Winter Nationals is going on this weekend and I swung by the NHRA Museum which is on the Los Angeles Fairgrounds in Pomona. This is where ticket will call is for everyone attending the races this weekend. As you walk in and turn right you will find Sam Hubinette’s Dodge Charger that won the 2007 Summit Point race along with the 2008 International Mexico event.

The Bergenholtz Racing Honda CRX is also sitting next to Sam Hubinette’s Dodge Charger. This was pretty cool to see during a NHRA race week that these cars were on display front and center. Remember, during race weeks you can attend the museum for free of charge if you want to check the cars out regardless of if you buy a ticket to the race or not.

We also have a new product in the store that I will show you a day early since it involves the MOPAR Dodge Charger seen above. Hot Wheels has also decided to immortalize the car along with the NHRA with a MOPAR Dodge Charger Drift Car that looks just like the 2007 competition car.

Not quite understanding why the DRIFT Charger is in the NHRA Museum…
And also Id find a better picture of the Hot Wheels Charger, considering the one you have pictured doesnt have the wing and people might get the wrong idea
Posted a new photo, the cars we have in stock has a wing. This is an actual photo of the car we are selling, not the stock Hot Wheels one. Not sure why that was missing.
It’s nice to see the NuFormz Mopar Charger still around. Though it would be better to see it sliding as with the Challenger. As for the Hotwheels I’ve already got one. It was a nobrainer purchase when I saw it at Target.
One message to Wrecked: Please offer more drift related collectables like diecast cars and some RC drift parts. You could make a small fortune on just that.
Um…. JTP won the Mexico demo, Sam came in 2nd.
The drift charger is in the museum because it was built by a drag racing icon in the front wheel drive sport compact and pro stock. Just giving a talented man some honest recognition
