Michael Essa Brings Out A BMW M5 Motor to Formula Drift 2010

Michael Essa has announced that he will be running this motor above. The motor comes from a 2010 BMW M5 which is a high revving V10 engine. It looks like the Dodge Viper won’t be the only V10 in town this season! They ended up selecting this motor after passing on the BMW M3 V8 power plant which I think is an excellent choice. Good luck Michael Essa as he brings the BMW back to Formula Drift.

Thats an awesome power plant! I hope its more reliable for Essa then it is for the daily drivers of M5′s in this country. These cars are constantly in the shop at my dealer for electrical and camshaft problems.
Do you work at a BWM dealer Brian?
Already been done.
See Remmo Niezen’s E30.
Casse works for a BMW dealership, Joey
That is a lot of motor! Nothing says your looking for power quite like a statement of “V8, no we will pass, just give us that V10 in the corner, thanks, bye.”
[...] Hopefully Michael Essa is hard at work down in Orange County getting his BMW in order for 2010. At least he bailed on the Toyota powerplant for a BMW V10 engine, we commend that [...]
Lars Verbraeken has been rocking Europe his E30 M3 with the exact same type of V10.
