Hankook R35 Skyline on the SEMA Floor

I didn’t see this car on the SEMA show floor today but I’ve seen some pictures floating around of it. While this could be a time attack or drift machine from Hankook we sure hope it’s a drift car. I’ve heard rumors of a big announcement at the Hankook Motorsports press conference and this must be it.
Assuming this is a drift car we know that Conrad won’t be in it since he has the 2010 Camaro and I doubt it will be driven by Tanner Foust since he is locked up with Scion. So that really leaves Eric O’Sullivan, Ryuji Miki, and Robbie Nishida. A few sponsor logos on the car push me to believe either Robbie Nishida or Eric O’Sullivan in the car for some reason. Hopefully we can find out by the end of the week!

You guys are really sticking to your guns on not dragging in any Daigo Saito speculations lol.
Even though this would be a good one to bring his name in with.
Daigo would be a great speculation for this car BUTTT I did promise before Cam that I won’t string along those pipe dreams. I really do hope he comes over here but from everything I have been told in closed doors is that he has been strong-armed by D1 to stay away before, I just don’t see what has changed since then.
I would love to see anyone drift this thing on the Hankook squad, hopefully Thursday the rumors will be shut and some truth will be set on the situation.
It’s the R35 GT-R, not a Skyline. But that’s beside the point. If this car is a drift build I’d like to see how they’re going around it. BLITZ is still working on their drift GT-R. I’d realy hope for Saito, but D1 is being fussy again. D1 is slowly dying, maybe it’ll turn into Formula Drift Japan someday.
I’ve heard from people at the show the car belongs to Robbie Nishida.
Driftwest is right, the car will be driven by robbie nishida next season in formula D.
Sweet!!!Looks savage, this will be an interesting machine to see out on track.
“maybe it’ll turn into Formula Drift Japan”
never…..
EVER!!!!!!!
Say that again please
I really can’t understand WHY anybody would want to build one of these for drifting.
Cant wait to see a big money car like this get beat by a grassroots
drifter…………………..KEEP IT REAL!!
I really wanted to see a Nissan 370z in Formula Drift in 2010!
BH – Car is being built to make for a big hype-machine. Same reason someone would try to drift a 996 Pr0sh. DUHHHHHhhhhhh……
not all of us can be e-cool like you
BH- R35 drift = better than all the V8s that are in FD now.
i meant to say “a drift spec R35 = etc”
