The House of Drift was on fire as the 2009 season came to an end. Our photographer Danny Lim captured some of the raw racing and activity around the grid from the weekend. Chris Forsberg clinched a championship after Top 32 and his Drift Alliance partner took home the victory for the night. The Gardella Racing Mobil 1 Pontiac was on fire all night but wound up just short of two championships. Don’t miss all the action.

Did anybody else seem to think the judges were not watching the same competitions as the rest of us?? I do think the judging was better this year until this last and final event. Whoever says polotics do not play some role in FD are blind, generally favoring the larger sponsored factory backed teams. Usually making it difficult for the small guys like the privateers to put themselves on the map and get rocognized. However this event it didnt seem to favor more towards the larger sponsors but just poor judgement and misconception of winners. For those of you who watched there were some excellent battles that should have either gone the other way or at least deserved a one more time. The rules are if no difnitive winner is given you must run it again until one is found. I believe this was ignored for a couple of the runs. Anybody else agree??
Yes. I agree. Like at Sonoma. They let Forsberg run once again. Just cause he is first in standings. Thats BS.
