In front of a sellout crowd we saw many cars put it all on the line and just as many cars leave body parts scattered all over Irwindale Speedway. This morning you could probably walk the track and make the mistake of thinking a demolition derby rolled into town the night before. However, several drivers raised to this occasion and here is how the top 4 finsihed:
1st- Ryan Tuerck – Mobil 1 Pontiac Solstice
2nd- Tyler McQuarrie – Falken Tires Nissan 350z
3rd- Tanner Foust – Rockstar Energy Drink Scion tC
4th- Matt Powers – Stock Nissan 240sx

Somebody sign Matt Powers. I’d like to see what he could do with more support. Same goes for Forest Wang.
Gooo Matty. He needs a sponsor for sure.
@Cobalt. I couldn’t agree more.
Did anybody else seem to think the judges were not watching the same competitions as the rest of us?? I do think the judging was better this year until this last and final event. Whoever says polotics do not play some role in FD are blind, generally favoring the larger sponsored factory backed teams. Usually making it difficult for the small guys like the privateers to put themselves on the map and get rocognized. However this event it didnt seem to favor more towards the larger sponsors but just poor judgement and misconception of winners. For those of you who watched there were some excellent battles that should have either gone the other way or at least deserved a one more time. The rules are if no difnitive winner is give you must run it again until one is found. I believe this was ignored for a couple of the runs. Anybody else agree??
