2009 Formula D Sonoma Championship Chase Update

Below is how the top five stand going into Saturday’s event. Ryan Tuerck is now eliminated and closed the weekend with 51 points added to his score and Tyler McQuarrie is also gone for the main event and added 49 points to his championship score headed to Irwindale. Three of the top five remain into tomorrow’s event.
1st- Chris Forsberg (Having to Rematch his Top 32 Battle with Calvin Wan on Saturday)
2nd- Ryan Tuerck (Eliminated in Top 32 by #4 Sam Hubinette) +51 for Sonoma
3rd- Tyler McQuarrie (Had to Forfeit – Cam Angle Sensor Broke) +49 for Sonoma
4th- Sam Hubinette (Faces Y. Kondo in Top 16 then winner of Mohan Vs. Miki in top 8 if he wins)
5th- Vaughn Gittin Jr. (Faces Justin Pawlak in Top 16)
So it’s like this:
Forsberg – 410 + 6 qualifying + at least 48 for top 32 = 464 so far
Turck = 363+51 = 414
McQuarrie = 347+49 = 496
Hubinette = 338 + 48.25 so far = 286.25 so far
Gittin JR = 336.5 + 52 so far = 388.5 so far
Hubinette needs another 100 pts.
