LX Chrysler Show: Sam Hubinette’s Dodge Challenger Spotted
Posted by Wrecked Magazine on 30 Mar 2009 at 02:01 pm | Tagged as: Formula D, Sam Hubinette

A huge Chrysler show was thrown in Irvine, California over the weekend and the Mopar Drift team came out in full effect. The car doesn’t look much different other than the lip of his wheels are painted red. The car was notably not operational for the event. We have been hearing rumors that Sam Hubinette will be returning to his Viper for the 2009 season and with his car looking the same way it did at SEMA we almost have to believe them!

What an absolutly disgusting, revolting, vomit-inducing machine.
The BGW ruins it imo.
Don’t beleive everything you read…
The car looks sick but the wing just ruins it. I think the car will be super heavy and slow just like the charger.

I haven’t read anywhere that Sam will not be driving the Challenger in Long Beach. While talking to other drivers and the fact you guys haven’t started testing and we are 14 days out people have begun to speak about him returning to the Viper. I would love any information you have on the topic at hand, you can shoot me an e-mail directly through the contact form at the site.

Is this the competition car or possibly a showcar? Doesn’t even look like the dry sump is hooked up yet.
I really wanna see this thing in action!
this car had so much promise to be a cool car. i kind of hope it gets balled up at long beach. that way the can start over and hopefully make another that isnt so lame. chop-top=lame .02
This car….wow this car….
Where do i start? those wheels look horrible, the vinyl job is horrible, jesus, I just can’t find anything good on this car. On top of that there are the jokes like the rollerblade wheels and that “tube chassis” crap.
you know what? I like it. it’s different. Maybe it ain’t the same old shit you see every year, IDK…but I like it. I liked Charger too.
The car is amazing just like everything Shawn has ever built. I dont like the Charger at all but its looks good here. Hmm how would a new Camaro look?

car build is top notch for quality. other than thats its terrible.
[...] in Formula Drift. Hopefully the car will be campaigned for the 2010 Formula Drift series unlike the Dodge Challenger we were promised at SEMA that has yet and will probably never appear on track in competition [...]
