Drift Mania 2009 Schedule

For the year 2009 the crew over at Drift Mania has some interesting concepts for change in the series. They are splitting the series into two segments which include an East coast leg and a West coast leg.
DMCC EAST COAST DIVISION
ROUND 1. Autodrome Montmagny Montmagny (Qc) June 13th & 14th
ROUND 2. Autodrome St-Eustache Montréal (Qc) June 27th & 28th
ROUND 3. Riverside Speedway St-Croix (Qc) July 25th & 26th
ROUND 4. Downsview Park Toronto (On) August 15th & 16th
ROUND 5. Autodrome St-Eustache Montréal (Qc) September 6th & 7th
DMCC WEST COAST DIVISION
ROUND 1. Castrol Raceway Edmonton (Ab) May 31st
ROUND 2. Western Raceway Vancouver (Bc) June 20th
ROUND 3. Calagary Racecity Calgary (Ab) TBA
ROUND 4. Castrol Raceway Edmonton (Ab) September 6th
Below are some notes from the Drift Mania PR:
In 2009 & 2010, the East and West coast divisions will run separately from one other. While the east coast division is planned to keep growing at a similar rhythm it has been for the past 3 years, the objective for the western division is to catch-up with the east coast. A two year timeframe is planned for the west coast to achieve such a goal.
Highlights of the 2009 season:
• New West coast division
• 9 events scheduled from Vancouver to Québec City
• New venues in both Eastern and Western Canada
• More onsite activities for fans such as extreme sports competitions, show
and shine, model zone, fireworks, flip a “ride” live contest, and more
• More prize money than ever with 2000$, 1000$ & 500$ for top 3 finishes
• New contingency programs for easier access to drifting for drivers
• New Quebec based PR agency
• Revised web site with more features and more frequent updates
• Increased on and off-site staff
• Two new event guides (one for each division) produced by PASMAG
• New and stronger media and marketing partners

Hello,
My name is Colin Reeves and I am the DMCC West Coast Operations Manager. I just want to bring to your attention that there has been a mistake with the schedule for the West coast. Our Victoria event will be on August 22, 2009 instead of June 20. We will be trying to plan our Calgary event for that date but nothing has been confirmed yet.
If I could get a direct email from someone there that would be great so I can keep you guys on the up and up.

Who will be judging the DMCC events this year?
I believe Andy Yen and Stephan Verdier will be judging the East events, not completely sure about the West. events.
