Tokyo Auto Salon 2009 has created a good buzz for the 2009 D1 Grand Prix series in Japan. We collected some more shots of Daigo Saito’s Ford Mustang that he has built for the series. Most of the pics above are thanks to our great buddy Rees @ JapaneseUsedcars.com! The rear quarter panels do read Drift Speed (who sponsors Quoc Ly here in America). We only have until March when we can see this car in action at the Ebisu Circuit!

LHD, I remember reading that it was RHD somewhere. Now I like it even more. USDM.
i like the grill. otherwise…. not really into the styling…
Daigo should ask JR to give him some lessons on how to drift a big heavy american machine. looks pretty good though.
LOL, like the chaser weighs nothing lmao.
I can’t wait to see how Daigo incorporates his driving style into this mustang. JDM fanboys may hate it, but it’s going to bring attention to Daigo and D1 in the USA.
Daigo gave me a ride a long in Ken Gushi’s old mustang at a drift day. He was amazing with the car.
Nice and awesome Ford Mustang…
