Granted we took the liberty to edit this released render we were black listed from to show the updated rumors we have heard about Tanner Foust. It appears that Tanner Foust is now going to be on Hankook Tires despite rumors that another top driver was moving to this same tire company over the early off season. After finding out this news we are assuming that it’s some sort of blanket deal Tanner Foust landed for rally/drifting/time attack. This is pretty BIG news on the brink of the new year and we think we will have some more tire announcements right around the corner.

The Dead Pirates attack the All Star Bash V
V is for Vendetta but also the roman numeral for five. So with all that said Ziptied All Star Bash had it’s event at the end of November I am sure you are all aware of by now. In a way much less crazy than the Somalian pirates who have been attacking oil tankers the Dead Pirate Productions team of Southern CA went out to ZASBV and busted out this great two minute video. All the fun under the sun and then some at this great Southern California grassroots events.

Drifting hit the latin community’s center stage on MTV Tres recently when a young man in an AE86 had a dream to be a professional drifter. The MTV Tres (3) Pimpenado crew hooked him up with two huge Formula D stars to get some lessons. Chris Forsberg guided him through driving and really helped him improve his game. Speedhunters went and took a personal look at Kumakubo’s fleet, which I guess is the automotive version of MTV Cribs. They showed some samples of Kumakubo’s Lexus GS and R-35 GTR as they drove around Ebisu. A cool sample to see what Kumakubo is riding around when not sporting his Team Orange colors in the D1 Grand Prix. The one man no one can seem to keep up with in Japan news wise is 2008 D1Gp champion Daigo Saito. Last month we posted a story that Daigo Saito was spotted testing the Hankook 240sx recently and we wondered if he was USA bound? Well now sources like Option Magazine are claiming that Daigo will be driving a Ford Mustang in D1 for 2009?! The car is being put together by the Japanese aero company Behrman and is going to make horsepower in the 700 range. His personal website possibly confirms the rumor but we cannot read Japanese. We were really hoping to see Daigo driving in Formula D but judging by D1GP’s actions of late we have a feeling he will be banned/held against will from performing double duty.
James Deane does Redbull Championship
This Irish driving sensation may not be legal to do anything in America but he can takes names on the racetrack. This 17 year old Drifting sensation from Europe came over to take names and crush some American pride. He was a great representative of Ireland all weekend showed how much the Irish are die hard motor heads.

2010 Mustang Drifting and Grassroots Houston Drift Video
We already brought you pictures of the 2010 Mustang getting nuts in Houston driven by Vaughn Gittin Jr. earlier this week and now we have video. Check out Vaughn Gittin Jr. drifting his pre produciton 2010 Ford Mustang along with some great grassroots Drifting in the Houston, Texas scene.
