After the drama that spiraled from Drifting.com to the Wrecked Magazine blog to my cell phone. I told Chris Rado that we would give him a chance to speak it out and let the Drifting community know his side of the story. In a little over five minutes Chris lays it out all on the table for us as we expected. He says he will be driving at the West Coast Formula D Pro Am this weekend in Tony Angelo’s S13 Nissan 240sx. He also told us that for 2009 he will NOT be building a Toyota tC like everyone else. He is looking at a native RWD Toyota to start his build on, sounds exciting.

“What would be the point of that?”
Money my man!!!
We are not stupid my friend, spocom drag is essentially dead. And drifting is booming, of course you want to make money by being back with your fanbase.
Question should have been… what will you do if you don’t get your licence?
I don’t know, someone please put Ken Block in the series, screw pro am…just give him a licence. Me as a fan, I want to see good drivers. Not kinda famous drag racers.
I don’t really see why he doesn’t follow the rout of other drag racers in drifting.
Use his name and state of the art team to back a existing driver. I personally never heard of the papadakis, gardellas, or bergenholtz names until they entered drifting (grew up a F1/moto GP/ WRC fan) but now I have great respect for them as drag racers and team builders/owners.
Ummm at 1:06 in the video did he just slip and say the Drift car is actually going to be a TRUCK?
or maybe I am just confused by his facial hair.
either way.
joey, your looking skinnier dude
You guys are all dumb! he’s driving a monster truck, he said “something with the rear wheels turning” DUR!

lol
buddy I felt like a train ran me over as we did this interview.
But thanks Edgar
i think people are focusing too much on rado just being a drag racer. people seem to forget that he made a very quick and successful entry into time attack. he shows speed, balls, and car control…the qualities you need to be a good drifter.
he builds top notch equipment and he is a dedicated racer. i expect to see rado competing in fd in 09.
Joey, you are a sexy bitch! You need a hair cut though. Come over to my crib this weekend and I’ll hook you up
Then we can go to Starfish and have Tuna Collar.
Since we are on the subject, I am SO glad that Rado finally cut his hair. Well, the hair on his head anyway.
Word dude needs to get his “facial hair concept” in order and then i say let him do what he wants.
